This is our charmingly picturesque new home Woolhouse. Before anyone gets too carried away thinking what lucky blighters we are, it's probably a good idea to mention that it's somewhat lacking in modern conveniences!
Deliciously neglected for the past sixty years, it has no double glazing, central heating, mains water or fitted carpets - all of which we are heartily glad of.
What it does have, is buckets of atmosphere, crumbly soft lime plaster walls, wide floorboards, open fires, a vintage Aga and plenty of quirky features.
Many a wise bird will probably comment that "its all very well in summer, but you wait until winter" they are probably correct but we will face that hurdle when it arrives.
